Wilmington, N.C. -  February 26, 2014 - Artist Perla Segovia will be exhibiting her work among sixty-nine North Carolina artists at the Raleigh Fine Arts Society's 2014 North Carolina Artists Exhibition.

Segovia's piece entitled "My name is Temistocle and this is my mother", a two-piece kiln-formed woven glass sculpture, will be one of the 70 artworks exhibited. Her work was one of over 475 works of art submitted by 248 artists.   After much deliberation, Juror, Dr. Eric Denker, Senior Lecturer at the National Gallery of Art and Independent Curator, selected the final 70 pieces.

The works will be on display in the Betty Ray McCain Gallery at the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts, 2 East South Street, Raleigh from March 2, 2014, until April 24, 2014.

On Opening Day, Sunday, March 2, at 2:00 pm, Dr. Denker will deliver a lecture on the selected works and will announce award recipients. The lecture will be followed by a reception from 3:00-5:00 pm.
