My successes.

Wilmington, NC - October 17, 2019: Therapy is probably not what you think it is! Healing Your Almond, a training and consulting organization, is committed to bringing you and your organization beyond trauma-informed.

Please join us for an evening of fun and learning at Flipping the Couch: ReThinking Therapy. We will start the evening with light appetizers at 5:30 p.m., and the event will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Bigg B from Coast 97.3 hosting. Franchon Francees, founder of Healing Your Almond, will participate in a live demonstration of therapy with herself as the client; the demonstration will not be scripted or a role play.

The goal of the event is to help reshape the image and dispel myths about going to therapy. Bigg B will also engage Ms. Francees in a conversation about the meaning of Healing Your Almond as well as the services they offer. Door prizes will be provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes, O2 Fitness, Zia Bird, Elite Chiropractic, and others.

Franchon Francees is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Trauma Practitioner, and the founder of Healing Your Almond. She began her work supporting adolescents and their families in 2007 at a residential treatment facility in West Virginia. Over the next decade, she would go on to become a licensed therapist, eventually taking on the role of Clinical/Residential Coordinator of a 61-bed treatment facility. In 2016, Ms. Francees began seeing clients in North Carolina, and she is an active member of our community. She serves on the board of Community CPR, a non-profit organization created to connect people and resources, and serves as director of Coastal Youth Media, which focuses on amplifying the voices of youth through the use of media and leadership development.

Healing Your Almond provides training and consultation that is custom-created to meet your needs. They offer continued support to you through the healing process as you and your organization make lasting changes that will help heal those you interact with. Customized training is appropriate for first responders such as police officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and emergency room staff. Training is also effective for businesses or organizations that deal with high-stress environments and would like to understand the impact of toxic stress as well as implement better practices. Ms. Francees utilizes her bachelor's degree from Bentley University (a top business school in the U.S.); along with her master's degree in clinical mental health, and trauma training; and a decade of experience, to meet the needs of your organization. Healing Your Almond envisions a world where people and organizations have a deep understanding of trauma and develop ways to help those who have been traumatized. Healing Your Almond upholds as a core value that all humans should be treated with dignity, which includes the opportunity to heal.
