Wilmington, NC - January 14, 2014 - Beth Candler has realized her dream of opening her own hair salon and spa in her beloved Wilmington, as she once did as the former owner of Beach Hair Design in Virginia Beach, VA, bringing over 15 years of experience in hair styling and coloring to her newly opened colour bar, a salon, and spa.
Beth was able to recruit an experienced and talented group of local professionals to form the team for colour bar salon and spa. This team includes Wanda Basye, who specializes in color and Brazilian Blowouts; Laura Collins, a magician in both hair styling and coloring; Journee Davis, a Balayage (French freehand color technique) specialist; Laura Ferell, a corrective color specialist; Markeen Foy, who also specializes in Brazilian Blowouts; Drea Petty who specializes in hair extensions; Tyler (TZQ) Quadrio, who is an award-winning wedding and special occasion hair and makeup stylist; and Candler herself who loves to work with short hair and creative highlighting.
In her efforts to create a unique salon experience, Candler recruited local Certified Esthetician Kristi Davis to join colour bar. Davis uses De La Terre products exclusively, an herb-rich advanced skin care product line, made in Asheville, NC. Candler also offers an aromatherapy experience as part of the salon services for her male clients.
The salon design is one of the warm neutrals furnished with a dash of glam and rustic charm. The results are a modern and welcoming space for clients of both sexes.
Candler feels that the continued success of the salon will be in keeping abreast of current trends through the ongoing education of her team in cut and color techniques.
