Like the subject line says:
It might say small but it can be big!
Small Business Saturday (SBS) is the ceremonial kickoff to the holiday shopping season for small businesses around the country. And it's anything but small!
With nearly 28 million small businesses (at least 10 million of which were started with the help of SCORE!) supporting communities, local economies and families across America - this is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of shopping at local small businesses - not only on this day, but every day.
The 5th Annual SBS will be Saturday, November 29th, and if you start marketing this week, there is plenty of time to get your local businesses involved.
In order to help you, SCORE has an easy to use, customizable SBS toolkit available on the SCORE Store -Ads & Collateral - that you can edit to make your own. In this toolkit you will find templates for press releases, social media, websites and newsletters, as well as blogs; and these include resources for both chapter and client use. Click here to access the SBS toolkit.
Also, #SCORESmallBiz stickers and fliers will be sent to each chapter starting in early November. If you want more, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll send more (until supplies run out).
So not only is SBS the perfect opportunity to shop and support local small businesses, it is a good time to re-visit clients you haven't seen in awhile and to look for new clients wanting to expand their business.
And as always, PLEASE share your successes with me so I can share them with others.
